Belarus expects to export $5.5 billion worth of agricultural products by the end of the year

29.10.2019. Belarus expects to export $5.5 billion worth of agricultural products by the end of the year, Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Dvornik told reporters. "Export is an important task set by the state. Today we have more than $3 billion in export revenue for 8 months. At the end of the year, we see that we should have at least $5.5 billion in exports this year, we estimate about 104% to the level of last year, " the Deputy Prime Minister said.

Vladimir Dvornik noted that Belarus produces much more agricultural products than it is possible to consume domestically. At the same time, attention is paid not only to the volume, but also to the factor of food prices, so that they are low, acceptable to the population. "The amount that is necessary for the life of our state (I mean food), we provide 100%. The tasks set by the head of state are first of all prices. We constantly monitor these prices, monitor in comparison with other neighboring countries, " the Deputy Prime Minister said.

He expressed confidence that farmers will complete harvesting in the terms brought by the President - by November 7. "Today there are only two crops-corn and beets. We're finishing. And those lines that are defined by the head of state, we will fulfill, " - said Vladimir Dvornik.
