Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry aims to boost exports in 2026

18.03.2026. The Agriculture and Food Ministry is set to increase exports, exceeding last year's figure of $10 billion, Belarusian Agriculture and Food Minister Yuri Gorlov told the media following his report to the head of state, BelTA has learned. “Last year we reached a record-high mark, with total product sales exceeding $10 billion. Although 2024 was a good year too, with exports reaching $9 billion,” Yuri Gorlov said. “We are not stopping there. We see that our products are in demand on foreign markets; they have always been of high quality, which is also noted by our partners.”

According to him, in January of this year product exports surged by 21% year-on-year. “Consequently, compared to the record-high year of 2025, January figures indicate that we have achieved growth," Yuri Gorlov emphasized.
Based on the optimistic start to the year, the Agriculture and Food Ministry hopes to beat last year’s figure of $10 billion. “We see that food prices are rising in the world. We monitor global transaction quotes. We see that our products are in demand and are competitive,” the minister noted.
