For his part, Chairman of Egypt's Wood Working & Furniture Chamber Ahmed Helmy noted the interest in cooperation with Belarus and expressed readiness to assist in attracting Egyptian companies to BUCE, including through joint video conferences, online forums and webinars. The first such event is expected to take place early next year.
The presentation organized by the Belarusian Embassy in Egypt and Egypt's Wood Working & Furniture Chamber was attended by representatives of ten major woodworking and furniture companies of Egypt.
Particular attention was paid to the organization of export deliveries of Belarusian sawn products to the Egyptian market. The parties thoroughly reviewed the registration procedure for Egyptian companies, the procedure for electronic exchange trades, the mechanism for monitoring the execution of transactions and the issues of mutual settlements and logistics. The positive experience of using BUCE to promote Belarusian timber exports to Europe, Asia and North America was highlighted during the presentation.
