On the eve of July 7, the parliamentary delegation of Belarus headed by the Deputy Chairman of the house of representatives Boleslav Pirshtuk took part in the meeting of the OSCE PA Standing Committee. During the meeting, the composition of the three General committees was approved and the budget of the Assembly for the financial year 2018-2019 was adopted. It was also decided to include additional draft resolutions of the OSCE PA in the agenda of the 27th annual session of the organization. The draft resolution "Promotion of the digital economy in the interests of economic growth in the OSCE area" initiated by the Belarusian parliamentarians received unanimous support from the members of the OSCE PA Standing Committee and was included in the agenda of the session.
In addition, there was the speech of the Chairman of the OSCE PA Giorgi Tsereteli, of the Secretary-General of the OSCE PA Roberto Montella, heads of special committees and special representatives of the OSCE PA, heard reports of missions of OSCE PA election observation in Azerbaijan, Russia and Turkey and also provides information about forthcoming meetings of the organization in 2018-2019, which will be held in Kyrgyzstan, Luxembourg, and Morocco.-
