Unique numbers at Gomselmash
The minister noted that the Gomel manufacturer has gone through many difficulties, but this year it is reaching "unique figures" both in the supply of combines to the domestic market and in export.
“We have completed the execution of the order for the Mogilev and Vitebsk regions. Moreover, we have made these combines in a short period of time - 230 units in just one month,” the head of the Ministry of Industry stated.
This year, Gomselmash will supply more than 900 combines to Russia, 651 of which have already been exported to the neighboring country. The Gomel enterprise will sell 450-500 units of agricultural machinery to Kazakhstan.
MTW's success in Africa
The Minsk Tractor Plant, according to Peter Parhomchik, also demonstrates good export results. The company has achieved particular success in Africa. "According to the results of this year, about a thousand units of different tractors will be delivered there: in Zimbabwe, Sudan and other countries of the African continent," the minister said.
Big victory for BELAZ in India
The head of the Ministry of Industry said that literally at night he returned from the Kemerovo region, where the largest Russian technical support center BELAZ had opened. Peter Parhomchik said that they would be engaged not only in service and maintenance of dump trucks, but also to demonstrate the best products of Belarusian industrial giants.
The Belarusian Automobile Plant is now completing a major contract with India: 77 heavy dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 136 tons will be delivered there, 56 vehicles have already been shipped. This order was won by BELAZ from the Americans - Caterpillar.
“Moreover, we could not land a landing of our specialists there (in India. - BelTA note) to assemble these dump trucks. In July, we managed to reach a compromise with the Indian side: 10 people are now there. The first 10 dump trucks were assembled and put into operation. I think we will assemble all 77 dump trucks by the end of the year, "said Peter Parhomchik.
The other day BELAZ received good news: the company won another tender for supplies to India and is going to supply 96 dump trucks with a carrying capacity of 220 tons to the country. The contract amount exceeds $ 300 million. "This is a great victory and a lot of money, an image event," the minister said.
In addition, the Zhodino manufacturer has the opportunity to supply a batch of equipment to Algeria.
Price hopes at BMZ
Peter Parhomchik added that there were alarming forecasts for the work of the Belarusian Metallurgical Plant: the market situation in recent years has noticeably deteriorated, prices for many types of products have fallen by 23-27% in the world. "That is, the enterprise produces the same tonnage of metal, but receives 23-27% less," the minister explained.
However, in the summer there was a positive trend: prices for metallurgical products rose, albeit by only a few percent. Now the plant is already starting to work with full dedication and produces almost all types of products, the head of the Ministry of Industry said.
Ambitious tasks for MAZ
The Minsk Automobile Plant not only continues to fulfill its planned orders, but also sets itself ambitious tasks. The general director of the enterprise Valery Ivankovich told reporters more about them.
"A large contract is being prepared for 200 buses to Kiev with delivery this fall. As for freight transport, the enterprise has ambitious plans to sell equipment to Africa," Valery Ivankovich said. The Minsk manufacturer also has plans for supplies to Mongolia, Egypt and Vietnam, added the head of the enterprise.
At the same time MAZ develops new models of passenger vehicles - buses, trolleybuses, electric buses.
